I find the balance between opposing concepts to be wildly dynamic and intense, and these relationships often come out in my work. I feel drawn to themes of life and death, light and dark, harmony and discord, and many other endless combinations. As humans, we tend to polarize ideas like these into "good" or "bad" categories based personal bias, or how they initially make us feel... But I believe that in reality, these contrasts are more closely connected than we first may think. You cannot hate without first having love, You cannot know darkness without experiencing light. Each relies on the other to exist, and there is beauty and art to be found in both.

Aside from these, I also love graphite/ink drawing, sculpture, writing, woodwork

I wish I could say the act of bringing art to life has always come easy, but in reality it has been more of a mildly toxic "love-hate relationship" than anything. The process of creation is chaotic and deeply emotional in countless ways, and that is something I stubbornly avoided for many years... But I have come to believe that embracing chaos and darkness is one of the most important and beautiful experiences anyone can have, though each person in their own way and in their unique form of expression. And so, my journey now is to follow artistic intuition into whatever outlet it desires, and welcome the process... however tumultuous it may be.
